Impacted individuals can take action to effect change in their community. Some available actions include: using the mining company’s noise or environment complaints hotline, writing to the mine site, writing to your local member of parliament or local or state government, or starting an online action group.
who can NSW residents speak to about noise concerns?
In New South Wales, affected residents can speak to their local council, the NSW Environmental Protection Authority who oversee environmental issues including noise pollution, and the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment who can provide NSW regulation, approval and compliance information.
